Historic Village of Dorchester
In late july and early August the Johnson\’s Mills area is a paradise wonder for bird
watchers because of the annual migration of the Semipalmated Sandpiper as well as many of resident or
migrating species. The Village of Dorchester is the home of \” Shep\” the
world\’s largest Sandpiper created by artist Monte MacMillan of New Brunswick.
The entire area within a radius of 60 km is an ideal location for the planning
of outdoor on foot activities in a healthy environment where the residents will
only be to glad to explain or assist visitors is viewing the best of history and
nature.
