Naturally, Randy Explorer Foundation's actions began this first year of activity in Costa Rica, country which saw born our friendly frog explorer.

The Foundation chose a local enterprise over seriousness and educational engagement criterions on nature's field. Since 1996, SURA's politic consists on protect environment to be able to transmit it better to the future generations. The pedagogical framework is assured by qualified educators and guides are trained to afront, in case, risk situations.

"Randy Explorer Foundation's work is exceptional because this kind of motivation is very good for them so that makes the children feel important and they see that someone is interested in them.

Talking with one of the teachers, she tolds me that the only way to be able to take the children from the school was going by town’s bus, which don't serves the necessary requirements to work and the cost of the tour didn’t exceed ¢500, which is too much in Costa Rica, because it corresponds $0.96 in dolars.

In Costa Rica, we strongly insist for children not leave school and continue studying because student desertion is very high, caused by ressources lacking or encouragement missing.

This ecadutional tours helps this children to become aware, both in order to make them see how important is estudy and in order to learn them to value surrounding nature because some of them are unaware of natural richness we have, just because they don't have economical resources to do it.
