We´re back from middle year break and kids still
work with lots and lots of enthusiasm.
We´re
moving fast and changes started. Next a brief of the last two weeks work:

Elías
Jiménez School

We keep working in the Green Classroom, many
mosaics have been done and the butterfly garden has been decorated. The
vegetable garden is taking shape. Besides, kids decorated and painted wood
signs for the trees and plants.

Otto
Hubbe School

Using materials from the school, kids designed
spaces for planting, spaces that look very different from the regular vegetable
garden.

Two walls have been covered with mosaics and in
the next session we´ll be painting the walls so the work can be appreciate.

Kids also made some wood signs for the gardens.

Tejarcillos School

Rain gave us a break, so the work in the gardens
is moving forward. We worked the soil and now we are ready to plant.

Mosaics are covering areas that needed some
extra care; we are working in the restrooms and in the classrooms kids keep
making modules.

15
de Septiembre School

The front garden is pretty much done; now we are
decorating with stones and bottles. We are also making a trail around the
garden with mosaics and stones. The vegetable garden is growing, the soil is
ready and now all the germinated seeds are ready to be planted.

Las Letras School

Gardens are coming out really nice, kids keep
working with lots of enthusiasm and planted different medicinal plants. Soon we
will start working on a mural in the front garden.

Praga School

Rain gave us a pause so we were able to work on
the gardens and advance a lot. Kids enjoy planting and we planted a lot of
vegetables that germinated a week before.

We keep moving forward and positive, we expect
good and nice results. We are developing activities for the end of the year
that helps us keep the kids and teacher’s interest in the project, our
objective is to assure that the restored spaces keep maintenance.
