11th and 12 worshops. · Sep 9, 07:38 AM

We continued our second phase, working fast and
with lots of enthusiasm. The work has been hard for the little ones and for the
instructors, lots of materials from one place to another and lots of soil that
need to be worked.

Next, how far we are in each school.

Elías
Jiménez School

We are working in the Green Classroom sticking
mosaics and building a compost pile. Other groups have been working the waste
management through paper recycling and art.

Otto Hubbe School

Here we merge the activities, one group is
dedicated to gardens (butterfly and vegetable), and other is in mosaics and the
third one in waste management. Soon the kids will be rotating so all of them
can learn about each topic.

Tejarcillos
School

Due to the rainy season our work here is mostly
inside the classroom, so most of the work developed so far is in mosaics and
signs. Kids are very motivated with the tools we take to work with them such as
cement and multifunctional tools.

15 de Septiembre School

Here we are working all the topics
simultaneously; the kids are divided in two big groups. One works in the front
of the school, the other in the back. Both sides are improving the soil and
planting some species, besides creating mosaics for both places.

Las Letras School

As in 15 de Septiembre we are working in two
different sites. We improved the soil and removed lots of garbage in these two
weeks.

Praga
School

Kids built a compost pile and seedbeds. They
also stick mosaic in the school main entrance. We are improving the soil and
creating fun designs in the gardens.

We find hard-motivated children and, as
educators, we are proud to work with/for them!
